I think game explorer shouldn't be allowed during a game. What is the difference between using computer assistance and using game explorer?

Using game explorer is part of the learning chess. A player can see possible attack and defense during the game, but it would be unfair for their opponent. I think it should be only allowed in unrated game or training game.

and what stopping from using books ? yes you can't use GE during live chess so is would be close to the otb as you can get.
I went looking for a game from the most recent Linares tournament (mid Feburary) and couldn't find it, if that helps
