Take a break, few days, sometimes few weeks.
How to avoid burnout?

my tactics trainer ratings fell from 1700's down to low 1400's. same with my blitz and bullet ratings. problem is i play chess to relax and blow off steam because i enjoy it so much. but that translated into playing when tired etc. whats my fix??
play unrated when im tired and try to set my peak times for rated play and tactics trainer. like ideally, for me saturday morning around 10am is my most clear mindsets. oh and if you do tactics trainer on iphone you can skip tactics that are giving you trouble without losing points

Sadly, I haven't figured out yet what my peak conditions are or when they occur. I think it is near morning on a weekend though. Not entirely sure.
Will warming up with tactics trainer and two unrated 15/10 games for a 90/30 work?

Try not to get too hung up on it.
Everyone has good days and bad days, and you shouldn't be trying to preserve an ELO rating by only playing when your feeling great.
Focus on improving the worst parts of your game. That way even when you do have bad days, they'll be better than they were before, and your rating goes up naturally.
If you feel like you could possibly be 'burntout', then just stop playing for a few days until playing doesnt feel so much of a chore.

Drink...Drink alote..
I'm barely legal drinking age >:(
That's the best time to start.

Thanks.

This is the second time that I'm suffering from what appears to be burnout. Just days ago, I had a very high win rate in all time controls, as well as tactics and whatnot, but now I am on a major losing streak in those same time controls.
What's wrong with me???
How do I know when I'm suffering from burnout and what should I do when it happens? How long should I do it?
