You should brush up on your Dr. Who terms.

Tardis

(Time And Relative Dimension(s) In Space)

Dr. Who's time and relative dimensions travel vessel.  Which resembles an English Police Box...

Been a long time since I've seen the Dr Who, btw they didn't have subtitles back in those days. but thanks for the info.

Still doesn't work for me. I got sick and tired of king_arif's spam and blocked him, but I still get his messages even though he is on my block list. What else can I do??

blackfirestorm

They could be from the past.  Before he was blocked.

That's the problem with time travel, you just never know.

I get them directly from king_arif in my chess.com inbox, he sends invites to tournaments and such, which I don't mind so much, problem is it is almost every friggin day. And at the moment (and probably for the next few months) I have no interest in joining any additional tournaments. Setting up a mailing list would be the right thing to do.

If you have him blocked he shouldnt be able to send you messages.....weird. Try sending him a message to STOP messaging you and if he continues after that report him for abuse.....

kco

wordwarrior I don't think you have blocked him properly, make sure you type his name  correctly in you 'privacy'-'blocked members'

I just checked again and it matches (clicking on it leads me to his home page).

Thanks, I will do that!

If you are in a group, and the member you blocked is the super admin of that group, you will still receive alerts/messages inviting you to join team matches and tournaments from that group member.  Its not coming from him as such, more the group activities. The only ways you can stop that is to either change the alerts you have set for that group, or leave the group.

kco

ahh there you go wordwarrior, kohai has explained it all, thank you.

Thanks a lot kohai! :D I just found out that I joined a group some time ago, but never really took part, so I apologize to king_arif for my accusations if he is indeed an admin of the group (I have sent him a message already). If that is the case, then of course it wasn't intentional spam. I have now quit the group.

Thanks again,

WW

That would be awesome if there was the option to block a user by just clicking on the name, alongside with challenge/add friend/chat. Also, if you block a player, does that also blocks him/her from ever playing you again in a quick match? Cause there's people I don't want to play. Thx for enlighting me on that ;)
