How to Boost Your Chess Rating Using Cheaters and Manipulate the Rating System
Hello, everyone! Today, I want to share a rather unconventional strategy for boosting your chess rating by leveraging encounters with cheaters. Let’s say your current rating is 1900. You find yourself paired against someone who is clearly an obvious cheater—there’s no doubt about it. Here’s the twist: you keep rematching this player, and as a result, you start accumulating losses.
Eventually, you’ll reach a point where you decide to block this player or simply stop rematching them altogether. Stick with me here. Let’s assume your rating has now dropped by 100 points to 1800. Now that you are significantly underrated, you can easily regain those lost rating points, bringing you back up to 1900.
At this stage, you might want to wait a little while, as platforms like Chess.com and many others often have systems in place to refund your rating after such encounters. Before you know it, you could find yourself with a rating of 2000 because you lost 100 points playing this cheater chess.com gave it back!
I understand that this strategy may sound questionable, but you must remember that you are not at fault; you are merely a victim of cheating who has decided to take advantage of the situation. Of course, there are risks involved—your opponent may not actually be a cheater, or Chess.com may not take action against them. However, if you’re willing to take the plunge, this approach could potentially work for you.
Happy playing!
