How to gain ELO!!! (Bullet only)

I would like to share how I gained over +200 ELO in 7 days. I plan on doing this routine. I have a diamond membership and it works better.

Step 1. Do your puzzles! Slowly but surely these help you get better at chess and tactics. Tactics determine a LOT of Chess games, the 80-20 rule in Chess is that 20% of your moves will often give you 80% of your sucess

Step 2. Focus on an opening! I usually choose the Queen’s pawn opening because there are a lot of traps in it. Look at the analysis board to understand the best moves in a position. It helps your opening prep a lot better.

Step 3. Work on flagging your opponents. It’s no secret that titled players flag their opponents on time to win the game. If you are about to be flagged, focus on eliminating all material, because if you run out of time, it’s timeout vs insufficient checkmating material, which is a draw.

Step 4. Learn bullet tricks and traps. Lefongs are really fun to play, and sometimes give you up to 8 points of material, while the Levitsky attack is less risky, but gives you a free queen if your opponent premoves e6. Look for stalemating and moves that catch your opponent off-guard.

Step 5. Play some games!

Use these tactics to play games, and you WILL improve. Also, I’d like to point out that I believe that ELO in bullet is almost like an endless pit. I could likely beat 1400s but lose to 1100s because of the difference in their predictability. If you know what they are playing, and you know your theory, then that is a great step. If you go on a win streak, which I’m currently going on, then you are more likely to win the rest of your games because you know the jist of what is happening.

(I’m only around 1360, but I was 1120 a few days ago.)

This is how I have improved my bullet, and I wanted to know your ways of improving.

My way of improving in bullet is to just play moves solely on instinct, with literally 0 thoughts behind them just to be able to move in seconds.. but playing bullet in general isn’t a good habit tho because it will inevitably affect other areas of your chess and may even make you lose elo in more important formats like blitz and rapid… So be careful with playing too much bullet
