How to get yourself blocked by another player 101

I only did it because the rank. Usually it's the lower ranked players. I wouldn't think the moderate levels would act this way, but guess I'm wrong.

If this was Youtube then you would have gotten a good ol' fashion d-bomb and a couple flags. Seriously, edit his name out. How are you any better than he?

Are you serious? How am I better? I don't just ban people for beating me. I think it's incredibly childish. Look at others' comments on his page. Sheesh.

You really shouldn't post people's names on stuff like this - will almost always blow up in your face and make you look worse than them, as in this case. If someone annoys you just put it behind you and move on.

I don't really understand... we can ban/block people in chess.com?
hummm
aren't chess.com has one of the biggest playerbase?
i won't go further in my comment, but if someone could explain what block/ban do and i'll be elated!
Here you go: http://support.chess.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/38/0/how-can-i-block-another-user
Basically, the person can't communicate with you, accept a challenge that you put out, enter a tournament that you are running, etc. It is a way to avoid unpleasant people with whom you've had problems.

Dont equate a higher level of chess proficiency with intelligence.

thanks for fast answer!
and for OP : just ignore it, it's like the guy that run out of time instead of resigning : annoying but not the end of the world. In my opinion, just edit first post, erase name of guy, and transform topic into a discussion on the reason why you block user.
or plain lock this
farewell!
That's the point. HE BLOCKED ME! He complains on forking the bishop knight, then blunders further...then blocks me. I don't complain or taunt people during games.

I agree, beautifulmind. I side with Oyasuminasai on this one, too. I think higher rated players (not that I am one) should be setting a higher standard of sportsmanship than this.
Also, regarding youtube flagging, I don't think it's like that any more. Merely adventurous flagging has been clamped down severely following strong objections by youtubers who were being repeatedly targeted by various bullies.
People on youtube routinely get called out by other youtubers for their poor conduct on the site. If I posted links to the videos I have in mind, then I'll probably trip chess.com's automatic spam detection because the list is as long as my arm. Fact. :-)

I feel ya. There's a lot of pettyness in this website. I'm very. very, veeery sick of 4 player chess, where people are more active on the chat. Every day I play there I'm called an i .d.i ot, and/or du m. b, or m.oro.n. Any insult they can think of, they call you.
And about higher rating players being less like this, it's partly true. Half of them are really arrogant, and the other half are normal folks, humble, polite, all of that.
