I say force it! sometimes I get bored playing a dull position, and I have to force myself to think, analyze, and play smart. If I just play, I will get crushed.

When I was young and getting to know tools, my dad told me this is a saw, but you don't saw, the saw does. This is a hammer, but you don't hammer, the hammer does. If you force a saw, you don't saw straight, you force a hammer, you bend the nail. I recently lost around 10 blitz games in a row, some players 200 points below my rating, I got more and more aggressive after each game and I wanted to force a win, only loosing yet another game. The secret is, you don't play chess. It is an inner quiet peaceful part of you, your soul, heart, instinct, whatever - but the moment you introduce aggression, you have already lost and will bend the nail. Study, learn, practise, relax, but never force the game. Remember, you don't play chess, you are only moving the pieces. It is the inner quiet part of you that's doing the playing.
