How to Post a Game
Was this thread supposed to be locked. Did I just ruin this by commenting?
Mr. Turtle man!!!!
I inserted a comment after move 18
Click on move 18 (the position will appear on the board). Then Right-click on move 18.

Type in your comment, the click somewhere else to finalize it.
Insert the game.
If this process doesn't work, try sending in a bug report - under help (!).

Yes. This site is a community in which some members try to help others. That's partly how how communities operate.
As with most communities, some people help, some people learn, some people quietly go their own way while others just complain and criticize.

Posting a game is a two-step process.
1. getting the pgn (Portable Game Notation) from some source
2. Putting the pgn into chess.com viewer
Here I'll review just the basics.
Finding PGNs
You can get pgns in various ways. You can download them, you can copy a game from a third party viewer (such as Winboard) or from a database or you can create your own.
Anywhere on chess.com where you see the following symbol, you can use it to get that game's pgn (this game I found under Learn/Explorer)

You may download a game onto your computer. Here is how to obtain that game's pgn:
find the game on your hard drive (this is from my "file explorer"):
right-click and choose "open with"/notepad, as shown above. Here is what you'll see: in notepad
Posting the Game
Here is a game from my archives on chess.com which I'll use to go through the posting process.
Open the game: and click the Download Button
right-click and select "Copy"
You now have the pgn in clipboard memory. If you want you can paste it into Notepad and "save as" gamename.pgn ("gamename" being whatever you choose to name it).
But for our purposes we'll simply paste it instead into a chess.com viewer.
We will be making a forum thread, but the process is exactly same if you want to post in a blog or an article.
Wherever you want to post, click on the "insert game" - the little chessboard- button in the editor
click on Load PGN -which will open a text area below into which you will paste ( Ctrl+V ) the pgn (which you have in clipboard memory)
right-click in the text area where is says "Paste PGN" and select "Paste" (or simply use Ctrl+V.
Click "Insert"
Click "Post"

This is how it will look:
There are more advanced options when posting a game, but those options are beyond the scope of this presentation.
I also made a short video for those able to view it (some people seem to have trouble with it)

(you may have to wait a few seconds, and even then, I found clicking the "pause" button then the "play" button a couple times seem to get it into gear)
