Players that do that consistently will get restricted and start getting paired with other players that do the same thing.

Once, my IPad ran out of charge. There was 4 min left. I checked back after it was charged, and had lost the game due to timeout. I feel so bad for the guy who had to wait 4 minuites...

It's fine if it happens on accident - I've lost maybe 50 rating points just because my internet connection is crappy here. It's the people that do it on purpose just to spite anyone that beats them

I think you should stop complaining about their wasted time and use it to calculate the next move. I end up winning most games by using my opponents time instead of mine

You don't realize how good you have it. Just block the bad apples. I only played 1 minute for 20 years at another site. The reason is because it's so easy to cheat on anything else with another computer. What drew me to this site was the tactical trainer, but when I go to play a one minute live, I instantly get an opponent. Today on that other site it took forever just to get a game. What I am getting at is this site has so many opponents, you block thousands and never have to wait for your next game. Also, the Tactical Trainer is like a lie detector for cheaters.

What if, I'm not playing, but supposedly the one who's been playing, is using his own account to teach his pupils?
I know it's a question, because there is a question mark at the end of the sentence, but I'll be darned if I can figure out what the question is!

People are only allowed one active account on Chess.com at a time: if you've got multiple ones, Chess.com will ask you to choose which one you want to keep and to close the others: https://support.chess.com/customer/en/portal/articles/1444776-can-i-have-multiple-accounts
Chess.com also has a policy against explicit comparisons with competitor chess sites, even if they're favourable, so I've amended the last few posts as well.

If there was an option with e.g. diamond level to report to online support someone just stalling, it would be a very good reason to pay for it. The highest tier is quite a cost without the quality if games can't be killed once someones batteries run out or worse, once they've already lost, but keep the game on. I would have continued as a paying customer, atleast I believe I would. Made the decision of not continuing after I had squared the opponent, but had to wait over 20 mins for the win.

In the ? Help popup menu, there's an option to "Report Abuse":
They might not get "kicked out", though - depending on the level of misbehaviour, the Support team will often try to engage with that member to try and help them understand why their behaviour is unacceptable and commit to not behaving that way in the future. In cases of stronger abuse or repeated infractions, the person may have their ability to chat restricted but still be able to play chess here: it's only in extreme circumstances, like posting of pornography or stuff like that, that an account will be disabled altogether.
