How to share a real life chess game?

I have played some exciting chess this year, and I would like to share some of the games with my friends over the internet via email or anything else that works. I am having trouble finding the proper way to share a game via email. When I click email game here on chess.com all it does is paste the notation in the email. I want to paste the actual game in the email so that people reading the email can see the game and sift through the moves like on chessgames.com. Is there a program that converts notation into  a chess diagram in email? In there a way to just type in the moves and then email the game so the people can see it? How to you guys share your games over the internet?? Please help me Im not very good with computers and programs and stuff I just want some advice.

There are lots of options... if you have Fritz, Chessbase, or Chess Assistant, they all have publishing features.

If not, try pgn4web, i've tried it out a while back and it seemed like a useful tool for those who don't have access to the software mentioned above... Wink

wait I have fritz 13 and I tried publishing it and I couldn't figure out how to email it. Is there a trick to it? Thank you very much for your kindness Laughing!!

First, you have to key in your game and save it to a database, I suggest you create a new database with your own saved games, call it "zombitroid" (or whatever your own name is), you can choose between *.pgn or *cbh formats. I personally prefer cbh format, the header can carry much more data.

My version of Fritz is slightly older, so the picture below might vary a little from yours... I've opened a game at random from a commercial database for illustration purposes...

Once you have saved your game, simply click on copy game from within my marked red circle, and use the normal procedure for posting a game to the site, simply by right-click and paste into the "use a pgn file" box as shown here

I cant thank you enough!!!!! Thanks So MUCH!!!

Wait so I successfully saved my file and game notation and did everything perfectly does anyone know how to send the chess game to a friend via email? I feel like im just missing something obvious...

I have other software that claims to send games by email, but it defaults to MS Outlook, which i don't use... so haven't explored that any further.

Are you looking to have the full board (with moving pieces) and the move text beside it?

You could try "Publish game", which on mine will be slightly different from yours. I can't remember exactly how F13 looks, but on my first picture above, the very top left corner is the green 'T' to access the main menu, IIRC it's a red button of a different design...

This doesn't email directly, but publishes to the web something like this...http://www.viewchess.com/cbreader/2014/10/4/Game116017428.html

I guess I need to ask the obvious question...I guess your friends either don't have the knowledge or desire to install a chess GUI of their choice on their computers? If they did that, they could just copy the pgn notation from the body of the e-mail and paste it into their GUI, thereby avoiding the whole mess of dealing with html and Javascript.
