How to use databases?

It is easy nowadays to get hundreds of games in given openings, variations and of specific players. But how to use all this information?

How to take advantage of such a tool and information?

For example, I used the filter option to get games in a given variation of the Sicilian in which black wins and only of strong players. But there are so many games that is difficult to analyse and study everything. How do you address this problem?

Just pick a random game and play through it. 

yes, that's possible, but for sure there are other ways to use it

Another way is to use a tree feature, if your app supports it, and compare where your games deviate from the games in your chosen database. Then study to see what options are better.
