Bot rating are very unprecise. It is very hard to make a strong bot (and they all are to a start) play like a weak player in any natural way.
How well do bot ratings compare to players?

There's "Engine" bot and you can trust that it's rating is consistent (but consistent only between its different settings). The rest of the bots have random strength bias.
You cannot directly compare even "Engine" bot rating to your chess.com rating. Some people agree most bots feel "overrated". You can estimate bot's rating in chess.com rapid Elo rating if you play enough games with it. If you win 50% of the games, consider the bot has same chess.com rapid rating as you. 64% wins - bot is 100 Elo lower than you. 36% wins - you are 100 Elo lower than the bot. Similarly, 76/24% - 200 Elo difference. 15/85% - 300 Elo. 9/91% - 400 Elo.

Toldsted, basketstorm, I appreciate the feedback. I’m slowly doing better with the stronger intermediate players bots in the 1300-1400 range, got another 1550 rating with them, and just recently 1650. But when I play players, my rating is only in the hundreds. basketstorm, I’ll take those figures to heart, if ur first figure holds up, perhaps I’ll be a 1200 player when I start doing more of those games than doing the bots. Not sure if it’ll be that high. Gosh, the players give me a headache.
I’ve been playing for about 4 1/2 months with nearly all bot play. At age 66, kind of new to chess, just picking it up while only playing for a couple of months as a kid to where we all went on to something else. My highest rating after hundreds of games, has never rated me higher than 1550, which I’ve achieved only twice. I’ve had quite a few games with 0 misses, mistakes and blunders, but still can’t get pass 1550. This is with no help of any kind. Also had my share of 100-250 ratings. I’ve only had 6 moves in all of the hundreds of games which were rated brilliant. I’m slowly doing better with blunders, but still get plenty of misses and mistakes. Recently started with the players last few days. I just play the rapid 30, which is plenty of time. I’m slowly going up from 380 as a player to I think now, 651. This is only after about 11 games, but it rarely rates me as high on my game with players. It’s seems the lower rated players are better than the bots of equal rating, but I don’t have enough play yet to draw from my limited experience. I do well with the 1000-1200 rated bots, but I suspect players rated that will be tougher to beat.
From others with more experience, do you think usually winning against certain bot ratings can reflect roughly what kind of players to expect with similar ratings?
