I accidently hit the resign button!

I usually just keep the cursor far away from the game buttons. Mouse slips however, have cost me like 5 games though

Your comment makes no sense. Don't go off-topic please.

The comment is neither off-topic nor nonsensical, but rather a brilliant and fully apropos quote of Omar Kayyam. In case you missed the meaning, he is suggesting you move on and get over it.

How is that possible? You hit resign, and then CONFIRMED the resign, and then ran screaming OMG!!! I DID IT BY ACCIDENT!!!

that's what he is asking for: a confirm resign button

I accidently hit the resign button and I didn't even look at the button. All I did was going out of focus mode and then I accidently hit the resign button. It should atleast ask if I really want to resign after I hit the resign button. If it has happened once that someone has resigned by accident you guys should definetly think about improving the UI/UX.

My point in short:

Make it "harder" to resign so you don't accidently hit the resign button and loose the game by accidently hit the resign button.

Thanks!

Only somebody who doesn't learn from their mistakes would hit the resign button again.

what would happen if you accidentally stop the clocks or tip over your king if your king could only move into check otb ?

Any arbiter with common sense will see whether it was intentionally or not.

I have it every time I offer a draw or resign...(only resigned 1 game, which I would have won on time if I didn't resign but I didn't know that until later...)

the confirm resign is only on the app.

How unfair!

Yes I agree that there should be a "notice" button when Resign is activated. This is my suggestion:

" You have activated the resign button, computer strongly agree that this is a wise choice since you have played poorly and blundered from the start. However, upon further review, you have .01 chance of winning if you play perfectly the next 10 moves. DO YOU STILL WANT TO RESIGN?"

Then a series of instructions about ten pages long should follow on how to proceed with game....have fun folks.

no, only once. no confirmation box comes up

Poor chess.com user interface. Once you click resign button, the UI should

1. Text to speech and ask for confirmation

2. Flashlight at least for 3 times

3. Pop out window asking for Yes/No
