You will do gerbil tactics without any benefit.  What you need is a coach.  Get out of the gerbil wheel of tactics.

It looks like it's too early to tell based on the number of games that you've played on Chess.com.

You need to practice Live Chess on Chess.com some more. Only then can others look at your games and help you improve from your current state by helping you discover your strengths(to draw from) and weaknesses(to improve on).

Do you study with real pieces and a board? people who only play on the Internet or on their laptop for years have been known to have problems adjusting to playing on real sets they clearly aren't use to it. OTB is more intuitive than online and from what I've seen they aren't use to that either and they have problems adjusting.............

Don't give up keeping working on your game you'll get better!!

Why don't you just play 3D chess on chess.com instead. The problem I think you're having is trying to apply 2D chess-play in a 3D world.

Oh yeah, and also the gerbal wheel of tic-tacs.. Laughing

Those actually appear to be Syrian Hamsters. They are the rodents of choice for discerning chess players.

Playing 100's or 1000's of chess games will never help you significantly improve unless you learn from each game - win or loss.

Remember that everybody makes mistakes - even grandmasters (they just make less than everybody else).

Thank you every body Smile

I don't really think online chess is the same at all. My actual USCF rating is 900 something because I played in one tourney when I was working over 70 hours a week. But at the club I play well with people rated way over my chess.com rating of 1400.

Just play and have fun.

varelse1

Don't put too juch stock in comparing the two ratings.

Chess.com makes higher ratings easier to achieve on purpose. To keep members coming back.

A rating would normally not be considered valid after one tournament. USCF ratings over the board ratings use to be considered provisional until after 24 games.

StefBaustelic

for me its actualy opposite

bcoburn2

you still have to defeat other players to increase your rating.

Hi Maxwell, I had a look at some of your 15 min games. I´d say you play most moves well above your present Live rating, but your games are interspersed with occasional horrific blunders or oversights - if you can cut those out, you´ll be winning a lot more games. You should definitely take more time to look at your opponent´s last move to make sure that you don´t miss anything. Here´s a good example of a game which you won:

That was nice of you to do that, wastedyouth
