No use for chess.com premium membership.
However, I'm a chesstempo premium member until 2022.
As happy as I'm sure everyone here at Chess.com is for you, it is tacky to post competitors' websites and also against the terms of service contract you agreed to be bound under when you created your free account. So even if you lied when you signed it then, it is binding and means you are in breach of contract.
Noting quite irks like the works of the nefarious (well except for maybe the dastardly).
That sounds quite good to the tune of ♫ Silent Night
Come on guys. Put the petty grievances aside and rather channel that frustration into resolve to work even harder on improving your game.
Imagine. Instead of posting about something you're not happy about because it wasn't done the way you wanted it, save that time and take 20 more chess mentor lessons and do 50 more tactics trainer problems and play through 20 more masters games.
All the other wrinkles will iron themselves out in time, but this way, you'll focus on your priorities and improve your game.
And if chess improvement isn't your priority, then the chess discussion forum isn't the proper place to post about it then.

Haha Tis the season for songs like that I suppose.
I actually wrote a nice song last night for the first time in awhile and it felt good to get the creative outlet working again.

Is it a chess song?
Just get a title and free membership :P
Dude Im working on it. Just need 50 more points and I got it ;). Incidentally chess.com made a huge improvement with their 10 second rule in live chess. Now you can actually talk to people who arent premium members. Its one reason im here.

Oh dear me. No, anything but this.

Forgive him please... he's probably a lawyer.
You're doing a great job ... carry on
" Now you can actually talk to people who arent premium members. Its one reason im here." Why would anyone want to talk to people who aren't premium members??.. I don't even want to be seen posting next to them. Usually, we just throw another one on the Barby. In the immortal words of Angelina Jolie...."OH dear"
What I miss are some basic features on chess.com like automatically saving the move variants that have been analyzed in correspondence chess. Or the option of an analyze board in games you watch. Just some simple but useful things are missing IMO like a easy way of keeping track of friends and some other things that I can't think of right now. It's not very userfriendly nor very professionally set up. It's still a wonderful site for a casual player like me, but for someone more serious there are 'better' sites IMO.
I'm letting mine just expire since you can't just cancel it. I could switch back to diamond to make it run out faster, but I'd be giving a tacit endorsement to the site by having a diamond next to my name, which I refuse to do. So sometime in 2016, my gold membership will run out, with me having used zero of the features in that time.
So u just cancel the direct debit?
... the account will remain the same?
