he wont play me In daily, he aborted our game, probably saw I was 1870 in rapid and bailed

He probably doesn't know what daily is. He said "Dude...daily games with 48 hours time control? So I'm in the kitchen cooking. And every few be minutes  I must be distracted by your ping pong move alerts?no way let's play 5 min game". Maybe it's me but it sounds like he thinks daily games are like other games but with a lot of time in the clock

why are we all arguing when he said he can hypothetically beat Anand, that means he can't, any of us can hypothetically beat anyone technically.

If you believe, you are halfway there

It's good that you believe in yourself but you still have to put in hard work to make the other half.

Avatar of varnite5

If you do that, you can definitely beat him

I will see my schedule. Maybe tomorrow, maybe next week

Oh yea... you could TOTALLY draw against Anand.....I mean you have 23 rated games!!! and your rating it just going up and up!! err... wait...tongue.png

I could hypothetically beat anand but the chances of that are ridiculously low.

Anand has the best tactical depth of any active player.  He routinely springs combinations 6 and 7 moves deep.  You'd have to be GM-class in terms of your own tactics to stand any chance against him.  The "Anand only looks three moves deep" statement is kind of like when Richard Reti said he only looks at "one move, but the right one".  You're supposed to know better.

Dude...only 6 moves? I can think ten moves ahead.

I can only think one move ahead... but is the best!!

Well, you could hypothetically beat any Grandmaster and computer if you just calculate hundreds of variations and millions of possible outcomes.

I just played a guess the move game ( Morphy vs count of isoduard ) pretty much guessed all the moves right. That means I more or less have the same playing strength as Paul Morphy.
