Nope, 11 months ago I was 803

I have no idea what you're basing your rating off of. You have virtually no games played here except for correspondence games and ...correspondence chess online is obviously NO indication of your true OTB classical ability.

What are you saying?  I've never played in a organized OTB tournament but I have beat a 1700's ELO player...go figure turk

SonOfThunder VS TheSonOfSorrow...

sounds like a

match off

in a chess match with these two!!  bring it on!!

You've been playing since you're 6 and you have a 1600's correspondence rating on the softest chess site that offers correspondence chess. It's correspondence chess LOL. Whenever there's a clock ticking, you perform hundreds of points lower. In fact, your ratings aren't even that of a club player yet.

Your correspondence rating on Chess.com means nothing. You're not a 1600+ Elo OTB. That's what I'm saying.

But somehow I managed to crush a 1700's ELO in live chess?  Any game I'd play with you you would get "CRUSHED! like a MELON!"

I haven't been playing since I was 6 FYI, I learned how to move the pieces when I was 6...I started playing Decmeber 15, 2015.  Started a 803 online chess, ended up at 1628 and the year ain't even up.

That's what I was saying, the image won't show up under a Google search. You need to use more advanced reverse image searches.

Yeah, just right click on their image and click on "Search Google for Image". Good luck.

Would you consider opening a new thread and telling us exactly how you did that? That's an amazing achievement. I'm sure many beginners here would be interested to know.

Not really, achieving a 1600 correspondence rating in 1 year is not a huge task at all, you basically get hours to make one move and get to use any opening database, book etc. Doing the same thing in live blitz or rapid is a different story. That's the reason why the average correspondence rating here is around 300-400 points higher than that person's blitz rating.

If you really want to measure how strong your OTB play is, then I suggest you to look at your blitz rating and not your online rating, online ratings here are super inflated.

I've only played 15 live games here...and I don't use databases
