I hate when people resign.

Also @Ry0to. That was unnecessary and unkind. The conversation literally had nothing to do with that. Also, it’s fine to disagree, but keep your opinions to yourself. The whole world doesn’t need to know, and also cursing isn’t allowed. Whether you are a child or not, realize there are children in this site, and cursing isn’t okay here.

Haha. lol These arguments are hilarious. People resign for many reasons, there is nothing wrong with it. You should not resign though, if you do not want to play them or because they have a higher rating than you. You should try your best no matter what. Also, how exactly did Nazi Figures get into this? lol... people these days make no sense

Well, I made examples. Maybe off course a little, but just to show. I do not mean, "I have to resign to go somewhere". You know when that happens. I mean resigning when people lose a knight or 4 pawns or ridiculous reasons like that.

I hate when people resign too, so if some day we play a game, be sure to do it first and ruin my day.

I was wondering whether most people think it's rude to keep playing when you're losing, or do more people prefer being allowed the satisfaction of checkmating their opponent. I've been reading through several different forum threads, and opinions seem to be about even on both sides. I personally do not get offended either way, but am often a little disappointed to not get to checkmate, because my opponent resigned. And in a "treat others the way you want to be treated spirit", I often keep playing even when I'm losing, only to allow my opponent that satisfaction. But, I wonder whether I'm annoying more of my winning opponents by doing that, or do more of my winning opponents prefer to checkmate me. To me, checkmate is the goal of the game, so it seems strange if the norm is that most games end in resignation rather than checkmate. Like running a race, is the race ended, and someone declared the winner when they reach a certain distance ahead of the other racers? No, you have to be the first to cross the finish line to win.

Reason why people resign is to not give you the idea of checkmate. Jajajaja
