No, the film premiered this week, brah.
What's with your g-word schtick? Are you a google shareholder or something, brah?
Learn to think for yourself, brah.
Some critical quotes from the above link:
"The script grossly misrepresents FIDE's ranking, and more broadly, the relative strength of Spassky and Fischer at the time. Spassky is painted as the brooding, Wayfarer-sporting ultra-supreme and Fischer the complete underdog kid from Brooklyn"
"only a few months before the World Championship, Fischer is playing in a tournament where Spassky, of course, destroys everyone"
"Spassky has a couple villainous moments. In one particular scene, during Game 1, Fischer is noticeably distracted by his surroundings, visibly losing concentration. Spassky, a few moments later, gets up to walk around and it's implied with a shot of his shoes tapping against the floor that it's a tactic to further his distraction"
"Schreiber just frowns. The Russians are Communist caricatures"
Great! Looks like the Russian gets to be the bad guy instead of the American, way it should be. God bless America! What a place!
Russians are always the bad guy, of course.
Whenever an American is a bad guy, they're actually the good guy. Like in all those bank robbery kind of movies. The criminals are technically bad guys, but we're all rooting for them, for some reason. After all, they are really cool, and living the American dream of stealing a fortune from others.
Wes looks more like Clint Eastwood, but if he dyed his hair, his hair could look like Fischers' if he combs it to the other side.
