Spongey writes nothing or very little of his own originality and instead proffers endless lists of publications that he has not read nor is likely to read. In fact the irony of the matter seems to be entirely lost on you when someone else commented that the OP was complaining that he had too many books an spongey then proceeds to posts reams of even more. How it could have escaped your keen powers of observation I cannot say. Why spongey need to hide behind the opinions of others I also cannot explain.
As for you assertion that I have posted nothing but negativity and nonsense you are talking unadulterated hogwash. Infact I offered super practical advice to find a chess book that was enjoyable and to engage in self analysis. This will motivate the student to learn far more than endless reams of links that no one is likely ever to read. So I reject your empty rhetoric on that basis, he's a spam bot 4 sure and you are his flunkie.
Nonsense could be, but negativity?!
I know right, dudes a drugged balloonist floating around the internet buoyed by hot air and even nonsense is more palatable than endless reams of publications and second hand opinions.
for Endgames I am thinking of gettings this:-

Silman's Complete Endgame Course is a far better and much more comprehensive book than Lakdawala's endgame book. In, fact, unless you have experience with Lakdawala's books and have determined that you like them, I would pass on them, as they are, while not totally lacking in value, generally not among the better books on their topics. His primary motivation appears to be to pump out as many books as quickly as he can, and displaying his talents as a raconteur. His books will certainly never win any best chess book awards....

The opinions that Spongey posts are generally of those who are more expert in chess than you are, and for most of us, would hold more weight than yours. As for negativity, diminishing others whose only offense is to try to be helpful, that is the definition of negativity, and bullying, both of which apply to you.
... "Mark Dvoretsky's Endgame Manual" ... (currently only the blue diagrams) ...
"... before discussing the specifics of Dvoretsky's Endgame Manual ..., a word of warning is in order. I must emphasize that this is a terribly advanced work that I don't think is a very good way for the average player to study the endgame. ... That said, if you are up to a real challenge and have a great deal of time to devote to reading and playing over examples you will inevitably derive great value from this work. ... In my own teaching to average players I am still using Mueller and Lamprecht's Fundamental Chess Endings, which has a wonderful balance between Encyclopaedic coverage (I can find almost anything), examples that can be shortened at most points, and clear explanations that bring together endings of the same sort. ..." - IM John Watson (2005)

About 22 hours ago, I tried (perhaps unsuccessfully) to identify books that might not seem as inappropriate as "Ivan Sokolov's Middlegame booksk which came out recently, Max Euwe and H. Kramer's middlegame books. Mihail Marin's learn from the legends. Gufeld's chess strategy".

They are unoriginal second hand opinions regardless of whether they are from so called experts or not. Bullying?? 'I had porridge this morning it was tasty, is bullying?' Try to find a chess book that you will enjoy is negative? Engage is self analysis is diminishing?
Please hire someone to come and feel your bum, anything to bring you back to reality for your empty narrative is falling apart. Posting reams and reams of links to books when the OP already has a library that he doesn’t resonate with is NOT helpful, my gawd how difficult can it be?

More nonsense, more negativity, more bullying. That is your stock-in-trade.
When you grow up perhaps you will understand....but doubtful....

The only nonsense and negativity is your empty narrative. Let me spell it out for you in terms that you may be able to grasp. Posting reams and reams of books when the op already has a library that he does not resonate with is NOT helpful and its ludicrous to think that it is. Pointing that out is not bullying, is not nonsense and is not negative, its self evident.
Now if you think that it is bullying then I suggest that you report the matter to the moderators, perhaps they will be more inclined believe your silly rhetoric.

"... [IM Cyrus Lakdawala] has done a phenomenal job in choosing illustrative games, annotating the games, picking worthwhile questions to ask, and finding the right way to answer them. Why are you spamming this thread?
lets remind ourselves of the op text.
I'm just wondering if players like us ~1500-1600 rated players have any hope of finding instructional material suitable for our level or does every chess book have to be written only for 2000 FIDE+
The Sicilian Sveshnikov Move by Move has a lot going for it.. .quite helpful and this includes those rated up to 2300 - quoted by kindaspongey
Please someone explain why this is not only nonsensical, but quite frankly spam. I will except any explanation to the contrary.

Instead of engaging in personal attacks and disparaging others, why don't you confine yourself to offering suggestions or information that the OP and the forum readership might find helpful (like Spongey is trying to do).
Whether Spongey is giving his own opinion, or that of recognized chess experts is immaterial, although he chooses to post the perspective of the experts because he recognizes that these would carry more weight. It is the fact that he is trying to provide information that others find helpful in trying to decide which books to study that is more important and appreciated by most of us reading these forums - something your negativity and bullying isn't.
I had porridge for breakfast, was most tasty.
