the point of a 2% inflation target is that their isnt enough money to create growth the actual money supply in the economy is hit by a 0% inflation target, youre manager f your local firm has no hard cash to invest in jobs and equipment so you end up with meagre growth

cap78red

all the policies adopted led to a doubling of the wage level under blair and created a healthy 3% growth rate most years under blair, this directly allowed for the austerity to be imposed without mass strikes because peoples wages where over inflated so this gave lee way for austerity to work.

cap78red

take a look at france were european regulations forbade a socialist government to go for growth and all they did was the worst of socialism ie increase taxes hugely, the incoming government promising reform has hit a brick wall because people just cant afford reform

you've led a interesting life have you ever considered writing a book ?

RonaldJosephCote

Your 49 yrs old. Have you ever been tested for Parkinson's?

Mr cap, Mr cap -- I too, think a book would do good for you at this point in your life. It would give you the chance to clear your head, and make sense of your thoughts as you piece them together on paper. Wouldn't you agree?

As someone with mental problems I see many figures in chess and politics and even science who mirror my achievements in life.  I am cruelly called a monger by some people but i am highly intelligent and funny.  I know i am not Jeremy Corbyn or Boris Johnson or Magnus Carlsen and yet those figures seem to mirror what I do. I am a staunch brexiteer socilaist exceptional chess player who has come up with some important ideas in economics and politics and science and yet i am not recognised as such, maybe i am deluded or maybe just mad.  The weirdest thing of all is that the world seems to have changed remarkably since i came up with my ideas but that could be a symptom of my illness.

Yeah I know

The OP has nothing to worry about, as long as he sticks with the forums, after a few days, he should feel quite at home ! 🙀

evidence for my exeptional chess play is i have whopped grandmasters online many times(about 10) including keith arkell and joel benjamin. i have also had a 2350 standard rating after 40 games on icc whopping many gms and ims in the process i have drawn with a gm in a simutaneous and was 1 pawn down after 38 moves against nigel short in a simul. i was 2nd in my british county(equivlent of a usa state) not long after i started and 3rd in an under 2000. i beat a 1800 in something like my 4th game ever at a club.

@OP I believe you're a strong chess player. And as an Economics theorist too. Many of the cabinet members and advisers aren't as good as they SPEAK.

Not wishing to be overly contentious but perhaps the attitude that political discussion should be suppressed in social groups causes factionalism and a schismatic attitude to world affairs. In other words, is it not possible that this reaction is extremely immature?

This is just an honest comment and nothing more.
