LOL
I live in the arctic but want to play in a fide rated tournament

I live on an island in the north pole with a population of about 26, (25 of that are penguins) and I recently hired a polar bear who doesn't seem to want to eat me to fend off other bears who DO want to kill me while I play chess. I'm starting to think playing in fide tournaments is a much better use of my time rather than freezing to death in my igloo. Unfortunately, none of my penguin friends are fide arbiters, so I'd like hear to from some fide players on where to go for my first fide tournament. (preferably in North America by the way) Thanks a million!!!
Why, I think I live on the very next island to you! Pop: 33 with 32 being seals. Baffin Island (which is about 1000 km south from here) has a small village where they have tournaments, hope that helps!
What an absolute lad!!!

I would try getting an online coach- If you want to get into a tourney, then he/she has a way to make your name known, and therefore getting you an invite.
