Chess.com updated the rating system for puzzles to better reflect rapid, blitz, and bullet ratings. This was implemented several weeks ago.

What happened to a friend? Did he also notice a change only 2 months later?

chess.com has updated their rating system to make it more aligned with your Rapid and Blitz ratings and actual skill

Would you call yourself a 3200 in-game? You wouldn't. That is simply the reason

And anyways chess.com's puzzles do not cross 2500 difficulty rating, making it extremely easy to grind rating, which in the end does not show how good you are, but just that you grinded a lot of puzzles

You weren't at 3200. You were at 2300

It's not a bug. Chess.com didn't bother telling everyone that they were revising everyone's ratings, all of the puzzle ratings and the rating system.

If you want to improve you rating, I strongly recommend switching you difficult setting to 'hard".

I'm not sure why the graph didn't update at the puzzle cutover date; the OP had completed puzzles that day.

That said, there's work being done to change the graphs to show all historical values based in the new ratings

It's terrible what chess.com has done to our ratings. Nobody cares that the ratings were inaccurate, we just liked having a high number. I really hope they change it back.
