It's like Elvis all over again. Soon there will be threads claiming to have seen Andy.
I miss AndyClifton

What's happened to Andy?
"I closed my account. Got sick of their [staff] meddlesome natures."
This is it.
While staff was making new rules, allowing in past cheats and forum jerks, Andy was muzzled.
Well get the chronology straight at least. Andy left in December 2013. The "new rules" as you put it, etc, were in March 2014.
In any case, the new rules were instituted to curb the sort of staff abuses and power-tripping that prompted Clifton to leave the site in the first place.

And how has that worked out?

The consensus is that it's worked out well. The forum jerks that ran rampant here for years have been cowed. That administrator that Andy had a problem with is also long gone.

Yeah, the creative and intellectual people that ragged on bishop vs knight threads after they had been answered are all gone.
Now we have the utopia... of not just trolls, but some of the most uncreative and ineffective trolls on the internet, spamming not pictures and poetry, but only the most insipid, almost guttural, keyboard spasms.
But yes, I'm sure the dull, thin skinned prudes who couldn't keep up are much more content with things as they are now.

"Creative and Intellectual" . . . what kind of grass have you been eating, brah?
It's not like the others "couldn't keep up," it's that the others contra to those about whom you speak quickly got banned.

That poetry was pretty shocking.
Not what I would call rocking.
But if it floats yer boat
You can put on your coat
To get sloshed where the trawlers are docking.

On a related note, Judge Clifton appeared furious over the stalemate trial brought to his court...

His hilarious pub crawls across the threads after a few days break were legendary! A compilation would have made a great Christmas stocking filler.
