I'm actually tilting hard rn,I need advice from a titled player.

The advice I need is what style is best me,and how to excel on that.I'm trying to get an "attacking" style,in other words Paul Morphy style, but it's getting hard now that I am increasing my rating.

Grogulikeschess

relatable, but my brother is 1700 and beat 5cms and 2 fms

Attacking style - start playing gambits such as King’s gambit or Evans gambit.

You can get an "attacking" "style" by calculating better and doing more tactics, while also developing pieces both actively and logically. Attacks ungrounded in reality is nothing more than a blunder (it has to make sense!)

Here is an example of an attack and why it was good:

Here's an example of an attack not on the enemy king:

I see you are tilting at the elo of ~1400. Attacking here usually does not work, i'm sorry. I already passed this level, by learning endgames and playing positionally. Of course, if there is an easy attacking chance (which is rare), i attack inmediately.
ChessAce1111

Titled player? Or tilted player?

Fetoxo
ChessAce1111: XD that is a very good joke.

Show your flair!

Play moves that dont give weaknesses. Just dont blunder stuff and you can get to maybe 1700-1800 rating

pighengheng

usually when you get stronger attacking gets harder and you have to play more strategically

pighengheng

creating plans and weaknesses then attacking them

pighengheng

stuff like that

Tactics, Tactics, Tactics.

Study Morphy, Fischer, and Mikial Tal.

This won't solve all your problems because as you increase in strength, so do your opponents.

Play openings that encourage Tactics.

Here are some examples:

Scandinavian, KID, the Benoni, Sicilian, the Benko Gambit. The Kings Gambit. Etc.

Remember, two sayings that apply to all areas in life.

" Those who live by the sword, die by the sword. "

" Do not pull me without reason. Do not sheath me with out honor. "

Watch Michael Tal for your inspiration. But it would be difficult to repeat.

I know but like

I wouldn't want to attack if it gives my opponent the chance to attack.

The king's gambit's really risky...

chessterd5

Of course. Everything is risky.

If you "go to pick a fight " on the chess board, don't be surprised if you receive one.

There are more "diplomatic " actions as well.

Examples:

The Petroff, the QGA, the Caro kann etc. ( although they have teeth as well)

The middle game is a dance with knives. You both have one. You can not be afraid of being cut.

There is no chess game on record where only one side got to make moves.
