I love the existence of arch-rivals in Chess. My personal arch-rival has been there with me for 3 years now, and our ECF ratings have risen from 130 to 160 together in that time but our record is still almost equal (in tournament games, I've won 11, he's won 9 and we've drawn 17; overall, including friendly games, I've won 63, he's won 60 and we've drawn 87). I may have a new one as well now, though, since there's now a 175-rated 12-year-old on the block who's giving us all a hard time.
