I am super happy. I pass the 2000 in bullet. Last  2 years I  was so close but never get there.

I was 99.3% percentil and best 30k one week ago and today i get a huge suprise when I saw 99.9% and position 3687 !!!

What happened?

I think this site 'purged' a lot of accounts.

Gottfried94

It's broken. My rapid is 1880 and it's showing me world ranking #1800.... There's no way that number is correct

Martin_Stahl

There was an update that had some bugs. Staff are working on resolving the issue.

There's no way it's 3000 ....

Congrats on 2000 rating! That's awesome happy.png

@Martin_Stahl must be correct about an update with some bugs though. Your rapid rating is over 2000 and the global ranking shown is #3687 whereas mine is over 2100, yet my global ranking is #3893? lol

They both can't be right if it is in order. The global rankings probably have a display issue.

KeSetoKaiba

Actually, maybe it's because yours was bullet, whereas mine was rapid, so that would explain the difference. Same for you @Gottfried94 although I'm sure there is some bug/glitch issue if @Martin_Stahl said so.

At 2000 there are still over 10000 players 😑 if I remember correctly on chess.com 5000 or less is like 2600-2700+(prob still a bit more then that )

The FIDE rating is more realistic than the Chess.com rating , because the Sonneborn-Berger system or the Swiss system is a more realistic rating than the rating that results from a game of a lower rating with a lower rating that does not enter the competition of a higher rating , for example, the first who is in the competition with a lower rating could beat someone with a higher rating, which would in that way reduce their rating more when they lose to a lower rating, until the lower rating would increase more with a higher rating would win , while when players of approximately the same rating play then the rating increase or decrease a little , although the first one of them can be stronger than several of them with a higher rating . So often players with a higher rating leave the game when they see that they have to play with a player with a lower rating, because if by chance they lose, they lose a lot of points, so the rating Chess. coma is not real , It so often happens that a rating of 900 comes among the rights in competition with a rating of 2000 or more

There was a code update that had some bugs. Staff have fixed the bugs and are working on fixing the leaderboards as well.

However , in rapid , ELO 900 is less likely to beat ELO 2000 because ELO 900 skips combinations by playing materially ( like NNUE programs that are designed to save time ), so ELO 900 is stronger in blitz and bullet .
If you play double moves of attack and defense to a player with a low rating, such as a computer, you can easily win him because the low rating is weak in combos, but again for a short time it is necessary to simplify the position because and to higher rating takes time

I played a tournament link

https://www.chess.com/tournament/live/arena/score-based-3min-3s-4232429

and noticed a player with a blitz rating of 2851 and a rapid of 1175 link

https://www.chess.com/member/thekingroulz So what is the real strength of such a player ?

It probably means the 2800+ blitz is their main time control and they almost never play rapid. The 1175 rapid might be for training such as them playing blindfolded or something.
