Why does bullet chess even exist? This sucks I hate bullet but I can't stop playing this game mode is like crack. Anyways does anybody have any tips because I am at a disadvantage since I am on a laptop playing with a touchpad.

Also I've currently been tilting down about 100 points in bullet... I was at 1820ish now I'm barely at 1700...

Don't play bullet. It's poison

I want to stop but I can't until I'm satisfied with my elo

Eventually if you play bullet enough you will start getting stressed and than its a matter of time until you blow up from bullet stress. So dont play bullet.

Bullet also deteriorates your other chess. I would say to try another hobby.

My elo crashed harder than the economy in 1929

As far as tips go, I would suggest you to turn off animations, and just work on pattern recognition. Get into the mind of your opponent. By this i mean think like a premature toddler. Hang your queen all you want, for you mustn’t worry because your opponent won’t notice. Unless your opponent is @RedBadgeOfTheMohicans, also known as GM Christ, I’d say you have nothing to fear. On a side note, I recommend you see a psychiatrist or visit your local pediatrician.

good luck on your future endeavors!

I never really understood the appeal of bullet myself, but I won't recommend you avoid it and will instead offer different advice. Don't play to get a certain Elo rating. People who play that way experience a similar phenomenon as gamblers who are in the hole and keep placing bets to try to dog themselves out of it. Chess.com ELO ratings are great so you can get paired with an opponent that is a reasonable matchup for you and for helping you figure out which tactics puzzles would be good to try, but it really means nothing after that. It isn't money, it has no value. Instead play for fun, to pass the time, to keep your mind sharp, etc. Losses will still come, but it will be easier to let them go. Sometimes even those can be enjoyable. Or at least instructive. Learning to accept and get over losses is a good life skill anyhow.

You are 100% correct actually I just played a blitz game and fell for a trap that resulted in me losing my queen and I was about to resign but decided I still had a chance to counter attack and I ended up pinning his queen to the king and won the game

One of my friends told me this: play until you lose... that's what I do in bullet from now on.
