I think he would appreciate a friend request like yours, kramakintews.

I am blocked?

Vance917

Damn straight.  And yeah, I appreciate friend requests from anyone, male, female, old, young, tall, short.  Just don't give me a reason to say no, and I will accept any friend request, for all the reasons articulated above.  Of course, you have given me a reason to say no, haven't you?

-X-

Well, I guess it depends whose standards you're using.

Vance917

I guess I appeal to the golden rule of treating others with decency unless there is a good reason to do otherwise.

Vance gets friend requests, from tall and short people, on the internetLaughing

@vance

I'm just curious. I haven't even thought about you for months. The idea came into my head to make one little comment in some forum thread and wham! You're there in like, less then sixty seconds. Are you stalking me?

Note: His original posts have disappeared.

I actually have no clue how my name got dragged into this.  Unlike Windows, I have no burning desire to report or block anybody, and I'd rather just leave matters where they stand.  But if this deteriorates into open season on me, then I will have no choice but to report abuse.  Not that this makes me some big man to be feared, issuing some threat to put everyone is his or her place.  But it is at least likely that I can get this forum taken down if I go that route.  I'd rather not.  Up to you.

You dragged me into this.  I did not drag you into it.  Got it?

If it's up to me I'd say go for it!

As long as you don't say: "GO for it!", that fine.

Sure. I got it. But my question is, are you stalking me?

Vance917

For the record, I want nothing to do with you whatsoever, and if I never hear from you again, then that will be too soon.  But if I need to address something you wrote about me, to try to clear my name, then yeah, I'm all in.

But how were you able to respond in less than sixty seconds? I feel stalked.

Is it because I'm not young and pretty?

thisis a very good post;I have thought about this often.  I think you will attract fewer "friend"  requests if you do not post a really hot photo next to your name.  I think it is some kind of a fau pau to ask someone to be your "friend"; if you have never ever played a chess game against them online. I remember when I was young I used to watch a tv show called "The lone ranger"  He was a masked hero in an american "western" series.  He had an american indian sidekick named  "tonto".  In Tonto's language "Kimosabi"  meant "friend".  Tonto used that word alot when meeting people.  One day the lone ranger and tonto were surounded and outnumbered by a warparty of hostile indians. The lone ranger turned to tonto and said we are dead!  Tonto looked at the lone ranger and said, "What you mean "we" kimosabi"??  LOL( ROFLMAO)  I think this little parable says alot about the topic don't you??  Just thinking outloud here.  t/y for listening.

So I talked it over with a "friend" and apparently I'm an *sshole for my views on this. Anyway, good comments folks!
