Yes z, skull set when skill set was what was implied. The problems associated with using a phone to place forum entries. On a positive note, the simple fact that my use of grammar and syntax is the platform that you are able to use to assail my premise verifies that they are without refutation through logical discourse. Thank you for indirect validation, which is validation nonetheless.

I concur.  Now write more concisely, and we'll be best friends for life.  Laughing

Likely I would say that is more of the minority these days considering that Fischer did more to ruin the perception of chess players as a while than any of us ever will. Apparently though, that has not spurned many from trying to place the mantle in their shoulders don't you think ?

Bill_C

Concise eh? Well then to sum the last three pages up: while we all can learn, those who can teach do and those who can't, troll.

Or as Clint Eastwood said "mans got to know his limitations."

Hey, there really is life beyond chess.

Hence the masochist reference. ^

Chessman, one thing always to remember: never mud wrestle with a pig. Both of you will get dirty and only the pig usually enjoys it. Hey, look at me, I am being concise.

Yes, my reactions were inappropriate.  I should be focusing on playing better chess. From now on, I'll simply ignore his posts and other such posts. I'll focus on the chess.

Great. Now start playing some chess as well instead of talking about what you would like to accomplish. There is no substitute for practical experience. That way, you have some resources to draw from to gain some understanding of where you need to work on and what you can improve that is already working.

J/K, but yes, playing will help you more than a bunch of doffers rehashing the same ideas over and over again.

Funny, the mud wrestling analogy was directed the other way but glad you found some spin on it that worked for you.Wink

Here's a "typical" game I played today.I decided to play this way to show my typical postions. I don't draw often, but this game illustrates the sorts of positions I normally get.

make a long term strategy and a long term plan . know why are you making that move and not another .  i don't agree about boring positions , i used to play d4 and then switched to e4 and back to d4 now learned lot's of openings , gambits and whatever ... a position usualy gets boring when you have no idea what's the general plan , when you don't have a plan and all you do is making some moves youll be bored and such .

here is an example of one of my own games ( ended today )  of how to correctly gain space advantage:

i havent annotated my game yet since i don't have the time but you can see for yourself how white ( me )  in this game gain space advantage in the queen side , also a5 idea was to make it very hard for black to push b7-b5 due to en passant rule ( very common idea )  .

Indeed, start playing gambits. And spent as much time as you can on a day to solve tactical chessproblems.

It's this combination of activities that will give you a much more tactical style in your chessgames.

I suppose that could work.

i have seen your game , there are some things you miss in your strategy , can you tell me where black should focus his attack ?  ( kingside / queenside )    what is black main advantages in your position ?

Have a few beers before you play, it will help you to play some crazy games and don't forget some good music in the background!
