If I said GG...would you hold it against me ?
This "GG" being considered rude is an online thing. It is said all the time in OTB play. We even shake hands and wish each other good luck. And we shake hands again at the end of the game and say "Good Game". So when someone tells you that's it's rude and they are just bragging. Consider the source and that it only happens online. Being able to hide behind a screen does things to some people and makes them act differently.
the one that REALLY GETS me ? ...GG within the first few moves !! ...what the ??
then i start tryn to win and guess what ? ...it only makes matters that much worse. AND i can tell that theyre not really THAT good. like if heekaroo said that to me ? ...i would totally understand. and semi-gratefully accept the cheekie comment.

I feel sooo confuzed about this. Sometimes players say it before they win me. Sometimes they say it after they do. Sometimes I take it as sincere. Sometimes I get angry at it being patronizing.
What do you think ?

Ah, you're still Deborah Greene's stepmother.
It's generally just like "hi".
Some people said gg actually said git gud than good game, just saying.
see ? ...whats it actually mean ??
I agree with FelixG711. Wait until the game is over & a normal player won't be offended.
ok...fine. if i get mated (not thaaat mated) within like 8 moves ? ...and they say GG ? ...then i take that as being smart mouthy.
sooo true. not sure for u...but for me ? GG has populated as a condescending remark - ftmp.
