I'm new but....

Hi all.  I am new to chess.com -- and largely chess as well.  I feel that I am mediocre, but certainly not good so I started out playing the computer here.

Well I decided to try the Hard 2000+ rating just for fun and (with me as white) this was the result:

1. e4  Nf6  2. Bd3  e5  3. Nf3  Nc6  4. c3  d6  5. Qb3  Nd7  6. Ng5  f6  7. Qf7#

And I checkmated the "2000+" computer in seven moves.  As I said, I am in no way above a mediocre chess player.  Does the computer commonly make mistakes this glaring on "Hard" rating?

Thanks!

I guess mostly the computer would play 6...Qd8xg5 instead of 6...f7-f6?? It apparently is programmed to blunder on occasion

Yup, the hard computer is known to randomly miss mate in one.
