OK OK, 32 elo in the past 3 days may not be much for some, but it is for me. I am blundering pieces left and right. I dont understand whats happening, like just before i was doing insane and had a big win streak. I went from like 1849-1895 in like 3 days, and proceeded to lose all of it. Should I take a break? If so, how long? I really want 1900 if I don't get it before like october I will be depressed for the rest of my life.

just take a break for about 3 days, that usually helps, and before you play put yourself into a good mood, just watch a funny cat video, anything that makes you laugh. there is a significant amount of scientific proof that when we are happy we think better and faster. just do something to that effect, and play around 2 in the afternoon as most people have a mental high point there and it will help. and also, hide rating during the game, it can make you self conscious and concentrate on it instead of the game. you probably will not need to do this normally, like once you're 1950, but when you are trying to conquer a high goal like hitting 1900 it can make you really anxious. just do everything you can think of to alleviate anxiety and stress, and do all you can to make yourself concentrate better.

np always happy to help someone going through rating climb struggles. i at first expected way too much of myself until i realized how slow the climb would be no matter how good i was, and then it got easier because i could stop pushing myself so hard and start enjoying it which made it of course more fun and easier to practice a lot, whereupon i got better and the climb got a bit faster until my break through when i smashed 600 and went all the way up to 900 in less than a week.

I experienced the same thing. I went to 1700 in an instant and dropped back to 1500. Taking a 2 day break should be enough. Go on a play every game with a fresh perspective

yeah that was something i missed. keep every game separate and dont let anger at a loss transfer to the next game, i have lost many games against lower rated players because i was angry at the previous game, and i am sure many other people sympathize. this is something you have to get better at, as well as not getting angry when you start losing, but once you do get good its effortless. i can now pull out of a completely losing position because my opponent assumes that i will play worse now that i am losing, and plays a tactic with a weakness that i can exploit. this just takes practice, but you are lucky as bullet games are so short its honestly hard to get mad enough to really affect your gameplay within that time.

What i can do but dont is losing some games on purpose, so the elo is below u. Then start winning games. I used to have tons of success climbing strating from 400

I sympathise with the frustrations of tilt. You seem to me to be a very good player if you are on 1845 or so - I dropped below 1000 some time ago and am fighting to get back over it. Last year I got some feedback from a chess friend who was on 1600 or so in Blitz. (I prefer Rapid - I need time to think through my moves.).

I don't know if this is a big problem or a small one, as people who raise questions are sometimes told "if you can't make headway in chess it's because you're a bad player" or some such argument.

I lost 24 in 1 day recently, you’ll be fine my friend.

Just take a few days off to reset and come back refreshed and ready to shine.

then dont play on lichess. chess.com at least makes an effort, and if you're mad cause you are bad at the game, either become a dev or shut up and stay out of forums where people are asking real questions, not looking for idiots who think that they're good when in reality you play like s*it.

Do whatever you think is best for you! Improving takes time! Try to stay calm during your games and relax before you play one.
