Hi everyone, I know that some people are upset that I'm "sandbagging".

This is 100% not true, because although I am withdrawing from tournaments, I am not joining any more low rated tournaments. I am going on vacation soon and I am trying to lower my games down. @AWARDCHESS, bfck, and landwehr, I am not or was not planning or joining any more tournaments until my games finish, where I will be high-rated again. I'm truly sorry for my actions and hope you may forgive me.

AWARDCHESS recently accused me of sandbagging-cheating, rating manipulation, and games fixing.

Please help me re-tie some loose ends with these friends.

I have repeatedly said that I am not joining any more tournaments, and that I am sorry for other tournaments.

I would just like to say that I am not a cheater in anyway, because there is a difference between losing games on purpose, and withdrawing from tournaments.

I am 100% to blame, but not for sandbagging, for not realizing that joining these tournaments were going to be disrupted.

If you would like, I will withdraw from all my current tournaments and not join anymore until I am at least 1700+.

Anyone please help me and tell me what I should do, because I am willing to do anything to not be fasely accused and have my reputation here on chess.com ruined.

Sorry,

Suvel

Guys can we please be serious someone help me.

Suvel

Will it be more or less sportsman of me to withdraw

netzach

Current Games (122) ??

Casual_Joe

Before withdrawing from each game, you might consider telling your opponent (using the Chat feature) that you need to withdraw for personal reasons.  I think most people would understand except jerk who understand but don't care.

Other than that, don't worry about it.

Suvel

Thx Joe.

Since they are tournements, I'll right in the comments below.

It seems to me that forcing a bunch of people to wait for your games to expire is bad sportsmanship. If some people want to leap to the conclusion that you are personally cheating them, tell them where to stick it.

Suvel

Uhh...I am not timing out in my games, so I don't know what you're talking about.

ivandh

What exactly is the problem then? You just wanted moral support against a couple of hot-headed doofuses?

Suvel

I just want people to know that even though I am withdrawing, I am not going to join any tournaments

Suvel

OK, here it goes.

netzach

Suvel. You mean you have had enough of 'tournaments' hence are going to quit/withdraw the ones you are playing in?

Then not join any more new ones??

Unnecessary to start a forum. Just withdraw then pm TD your reason for doing so.

This is like Survivior, except without the overly dramatic music.

Think your so popular? Don't worry, I didn't know you until you posted this thread. Also, please refrain from being one of those reputation-hungry jerks. Just keep playing and withdraw as much as you want if necessary.

You are one step ahead of me, I still don't know him.

DrSpudnik

I kind of suspect that if he just laid low, the whole kerfluffle (if any) would blow over and no one would notice or care.
