It was a simple one. Tatics :) I am introducing a new topic. I am not saying what the topics are so that you do not know what to look for. If you want you can analyze the solved positions for fun. I recamend it.

well tell me what you do after Bf4... I don´t see how black can defend. After Bf4 Qf6 simply Ne4 looks crushing.

What do you do after 5... Qxb2?

Rd1 I guess.

I am playing in a national event(very strong you have to qualify through 2 previous events to get to it) so I will not be able to do any forum for 5 days. Feel free to post your own positions during this time(starting now) as long as you copy the way I do it( say a little about the position and ask them to answer somthing) Enjoy!

Ah, so here people post positions and analysis it for fun. Seems cool.

Last position Bf5 seems good, crashing in on g6. as long as the tactical lines are calculated through to fail or win.

The position with Qg4 was hardly calculated.

Ok. Admittedly 1. Qg4 O-O is fine for Black. This was more about 1... Bxh2+ and what the result should be.

Ok, so the goal is to find a way for black to play ...Bh2+

5.. Bd6 allows 6. Bb6, and 6. Qd4 misses the opportunity. After Bb6 white looks better

Yeah, seems legit I was just posting a line with Be3 giving a nice position for white. btw, please make your analysis longer then 1 move.

I think you are in the right thread/forum/website. It's easy to find someone here to help you learn.

push the b pawn and hope for a back rank mate

This a  section of a board from a game I have played. It was drawn(because there was stuff on the queenside) but here I am worse(in the game I went up to pawns but we almost timed out and we each had a rook). How should white continue? the other side of the board doesn't matter at all here. You just need to find whites most active plan.

Avatar of DMGame

Just say whites plan. Show the moves but dont show any black responses.

Hint: There is still a queenside so remember the awnswer lies on the kingside

Avatar of LazyChessPlayer3201

I don't really get what you mean by queen-side play. But if whiite wants winning chnaces, he has to try 1.f4 or else ...Ng6 will be annoying.

Avatar of DMGame

Correct. he has to get out the bishop. This position was a little tricky to get in the forum but the rest will be smooth sailing :)

Okay. January 2nd everyone!

Here is the post! Sorry for the wait!

In this post you need to evaluate the position. Just try and find out who is better or if it is equal. Break down the thought process you used to get your result. Show your work wink.png
