My form is far too inconsistent.

What is the cause of this problem?

This is the exactly the same problem with lichess.

Your rating makes it seem that your form is really fairly consistent.

After a year of playing 1300+ games, your rating has stayed pretty stable.

@justbefair it may seem like that but notice that there are huge drop offs and rises.

This is what I meant by inconsistency.

That's just blitz, same could be said for rapid too.

@CRYYSIS True. Nice name btw.

Consistency is the main difference between titled players and the rest of us.

All of us can play like a Master for one game. Only Masters can do it consistently.

Avatar of AmNotSoBright

@blueemu I now realise this.

In what way? Your rating is about the same it was four years ago.

Can justbefair tell me that I was consistent or not?

Well, I mean win a lot and then lose a lot.

Avatar of AmNotSoBright

I am not improving at all

It should be better than 4 years

I have a life and all but still, there should be some change.
I just lose too much nowadays

I think that drills and puzzles help to recognize opportunities.

From your last game:

When people offer you a free queen, you should take it. It looks like you haven't done a timed Puzzle Rush in a couple of years.

Nah, there is something more to this. I cannot be this extremely inconsistent.

Sorry if this sounds harsh, but you're consistently bad

Analyse your games afterwards and learn from pattern recognition. Identify what type of mistake you made and never make it again
