Inflated ratings..

Why do some players artificially inflate their ratings by playing opponents rated much lower than themselves?

I see a lot of people with a highest of 1400+ and their average opponent being 1100 or so..

They like winning.

But anyways, it does not work to inflate ratings. You might win more often, but you win less and lose more for each game.

Yeh I guess so...does it really bother you that a 1400 player isn't actually a 1400 player?
