Yep. I view the situation like this: I play chess for the challenge. Not studying the game and playing is perfectly possible as plenty of others are doing the same on this website. Or I could study, get better, and now the game stays the same amount of challenging because I’m moved up to a level where everyone around me has completed a similar amount of homework. So it doesn’t matter if you are 2500 or 250elo . Your opponent will still be challenging to you and that’s all that matters to me.

That would be most chess players. almost no one here is a titled player. Most are at varying levels of horrible. Yet we play on, looking to satisfy our need for chessly activity.
