Is anyone else just starting chess and so scared to play against real people?

I just started knowing about basic chess rules about a month ago and I am so interested in learning more about the game. On the day I created my account I played a couple matches and lost them all and it basically made me 100 elo. I’ve been studying quite a bit about checkmate patterns, basic pins forks and opening principles online and up to 5-6 moves of most Ponziani and Caro Kann variations.
I played against bots winning up to Ali (1400) and drew the first advanced bot yesterday. But I have this perpetual fear of playing against real people and I feel I am never good enough to start playing actual matches. Occasionally I gather all my courage and play one game and even if I win, I am still scared to play another match. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and how to overcome it. Would greatly appreciate your reply :)

This can be a very common thing that many new chess players report as they start playing. It does seem to get better as you play more human opponents. Realize that the players you are facing at or near your level are possibly new as well to the game and might feel similar. You are ready to play chess as soon as you know how the pieces move and the rules of the game and recognize that I would imagine many players never feel they know enough as they play and gain ratings. Enjoy the learning process and the gameplay. One suggestion also would be to consider joining the chess improvers club as it is a community full of players at all levels learning and enjoying the game. Very supportive group and offers a place where you can learn and ask questions to others who have experienced this as well as other things as you progress.
