Hey, I didn't realize I wasn't accepting messages, friend requests, games, etc. I changed that.

When I first made this account some guy was harassing me so I set all that stuff so no one could do that, but then I forgot and it stayed that way.

If you truly love the game, you should go for it, may as well try to become a master, no matter what other people say.  Just at the end of last year I was 1600 in blitz and thought I would never get good, now a few months later im 2300.  I say you might as well try, and if not, still have fun playing the game.

Last year, I was 100 fide, now I am 1650 fide.

Very suspicious

I see your challenge @uhohspaghettio1

I'd rather play unrated because I'm trying to keep my blitz rating at this peak

But, perhaps oddly, I will play a rated blitz series if someone wants. Which means we play for 1 or 2 hours, something like that.

Maybe that seems weird, but anyway, if it's only 1 or a few games I'd rather do unrated...

And if we play a series of games I want us to both agree on a time beforehand, even if it's 1 hour away that's fine, but it could be, for example, a few days in the future too.

Bruh, don't edit my posts. Btw, the lowest fide rating possible is 1000.

Canadian players can have US Chess ratings.

IM_GGnoRE

I remember an interview on youtube with Boris Gelfand (not sure, but I think it was conducted Tanya Sachdev during the Isle of Man tournament), where Gelfand said that he was approached by Carlsen's father Henrik and he asked him whether Carlsen could make to the top-elite in chess and stay there. Boris Gelfand said that Carlsen looks promising and has great talent, but ultimately he doesn't know whether he can make it. There are so many factors to consider and the decision to play chess professionelly is not an easy one. It all comes down to your own decision which always have to be taken individually.

Gelfand said thst one cornerstone of Carlsens success is the support and love from his family. He said Carlsen's family is a really loving and caring fsmily. Never pushed him, but supported him in all decisions. Some people struggle to perform well becsuse of other issues in their life. Some of the chess players in the past had a lot of financial problems going from one tournament to the other, working different jobs to earn money etc.

No matter what path you take in chess whether its chess book author, chess player etc. you need to be good at chess. And that means a lot of work. There is no short cut in chess or in life in general no matter what several dubious books promise you.

You can listen to advice from all kinds of people, but in the end you have to decide, because you know yourself best. Advice from others is good, but you have to combine it with your own life.
