Well I think in the same sense that those who can't do end up teaching, those who can't beat you down physically will try to do so via their IQ or their Elo. That's not really nerd-dom, though, just its main representative.

Chess is a SPORT I play chess for my school * not mentioned* bit I am finned for althetics I am also in the convinced priority that chess is a sport because it is a challenge... it is a contest of who practices more. And who has more natural talent... it is just a sport with less people... but even given the choice there are people who play one VS one sports, aka basketball... and they count it as a sport... so why shouldn't chess be a sport? I rest my case with a question In and of itself, if chess is not a sport than is golf a sport?
Nerd? I think we prefer the term intellectual rockstar. Chess isn’t “nerdy” it’s like any other game, but you have to be smart and have strategy. Most people lack seeing that and think chess is just capturing pieces.
