Yes...ofcourse,i got the point..spelling is the aftermath of sleepless live chess!!
is chess.com dying?

I'd say its losing its hold on the chess community at large. Lichess offers live chess varients and a lot of free services you have to pay for here. It's telling when the popular chess streamers would rather use ICC/Lichess than come here.
The problem stems from a lack of programmers/developers.
Other chess websites are stealing the chess community because there developments are happening more rapid and are str8 forward.
Chess.com has been hogging up there developers on there new Chess V3 while ignoring the current chess.com system.
If Chess V3 turns out to be a flop. Chess.com will be hurting really bad.
It seems they have put there hopes on Chess V3 being a success which will draw people back.

Several people have said this exact same thing. Is this true? What makes people say that exactly? I'm very curious!

The "12,000,000+ members" thing is great for sales, and getting people to sign up. But if you look, you will see a lot of accounts that havent been logged into for months, and years.

It's very true. Trolling used to be a celebrated, competitive activity in the forums. Not sure what changed... I'm guessing a combination of tough mod policing, the closure of the Troll of the Month (TM) threads, and people getting bored with trolling.

Trolling like anything gets old after awhile. You can only say "Look at me!" so often before the effect wears off. Trolling has a limited impact, and there is only so much material to work with.

I suppose, but wouldn't you expect some young and dashing new trolls to take up the mantle? Maybe this is a sign that chess.com or even chess in general has failed to bring in and captivate the newer generation.

nobody actually cares about other sites. but they shouldnt moderate the forum. i want to discuss other non chess related topics here too
Post in the Off_Topic Forums. It's lightly moderated and open to most things non-chess related.

There are few serious, or even just pertinent, chess topics discussed here. Many of those that are initiated get innundated with nonsense, pointless videos, images, animated gifs and memes. I haven't seen much change in my 8 years here.
Moderators don't, in fact can't, limit trolling unless it amounts to harrassment or other expressly prohibited behavior. They can, however, limit spamming and they can move or delete inappropriate threads.

Don't encourage him batgirl.
No one wants to ear all the filth greedypawneater has in his mind.
Best thing to do is not to open that paradora box. No telling what can come flying out there that may leave long term mental scars etc.

Sure some new trolls can take over, but how many times can you, or do you want to hear the same joke over and over?

There are few salient chess topics to discuss in general; it's why we see the same crap getting recycled over and over.
Mods can and do limit trolling by keeping "off-topic" off of the sidebar. In my experience overly trollish posts must quickly garner enough responses before they get sent to off-topic, or the thread never picks up traction.

I'm telling you GreedyPawnEater is a troll.
An you can be rest assured Mosai he picked up alot of traction in his forum post.
So much traction chess.com staff closed it so fast.
He started it in the morning at breakfast before dinner it had over 50k hits and was closed by staff.
The rise and fall of that forum was epic.

So-called trollish threads are not moved to the Off-Topic Forum unless they are, in fact, off-topic. There's nothing in place to prohibit trollish topics that are about chess unless they are so far afield in topic or inappropriate or promote responses that make the thread off topic in substance.

If that's the case, I would suggest shutting down the forums altogether because they serve no real purpose.
