there is alot of guess the elo
Is GothamChess Overrated?

The thing that's annoying me on YouTube is the 30-second videos that have nothing to do with chess, just something mildly amusing that happened.
Personally, I think that he used to have great educational content, but over the last few months, it has been lacking. I think there is too much "Guess the elo" personally and the educational side has greatly decreased. This is just my personal opinion, with constructive criticism.
Maybe you missed his latest series:
Chess Steps
He starts in episode one playing subscribers in the 500-800 range.
Does a lot explaining of why move this and not that.
he sucks
thats not true. he was great against carlsen in the world championships until he blundered in game 6

There's a tendency on the internet for everything to devolve down to the level of performing fleas in order to generate more views.
he sucks
The clips channel is pretty clickbait. But I do play the Vienna so that's a plus.
he sucks
Not self promoting but I have a pretty cool YT channel TPiano would be great if you could have a little look

He has lots of fantastic content and it just keeps coming, thanks Levy. Good luck in your next OTB tournament.

To be fair, was he ever about education?
Ok, actually he has some good advice, but it's mostly about:
- He's young
- He's charasmatic
- He films with good lighting
- He has a video editor (I assume)
- He got subs via an established guy (Hikaru)
It was never about quality... most popular YouTube channels are about entertaining children, not quality.
Although as I said, a few of his educational ones are on point... it's just... you can't repeat the same few pieces of advice for 100s of videos, and you have to keep making videos so...
he sucks
One valuable criticism - please, please stop the UFC references. Many thanks
