I mean, he's obviously not bad, but to say his educational content is so good he got 1 million subs is laughable.

Even his "educational" content isn't that educational. I've learned infinitely more from YouTube channels like Daniel Naroditsky, Hanging Pawns, NM Robert Ramirez, even a little bit of Chessbrah taught me some useful things.
Out of all the Chess knowledge I've accumulated up to know, almost all of it can be contributed to the channels I've listed and some others. I used to watch a lot of GothamChess, but almost nothing that I now know I've learned from him.
