Is it possible to gain 50 elo per week? 🀔

Out of curiosity, I wonder if it was possible to gain 200 elo a month just from adjusting our perception of the chess board. What I mean by “adjusting” is that we receive some sort of revelation of how to play differently from observing chess games of GMs and World Champions. Requiring understanding by knowing the thoughts of each move that a high elo chess player plays and knowing where we fall short in comparison. Could this work theoretically?

I'm not really sure what you're asking.

Would it be possible to make tremendous gains if you were able to drastically improve your understanding of the game? Sure.

But how do you plan to gain this elevated level of understanding?

For most players, it comes from years of playing and studying. If you can find a shortcut that circumvents all that, I'd love to know about it.

The idea of gaining 50 Elo each week becomes less sustainable as you approach your current skill ceiling.

You can get 100 Eli or more per week
