I see evidence that chess.com deals with cheaters, and they refund my points.
Before playing your first move, quickly check the opponent’s game history. If it raises suspicion, report and abort.
If it looks like an account in good standing, then enjoy your game.
I am asking, because I really like rapid chess over the board and would like to have the possibility to play some 10min games (or a bit longer) online also. But that is not quite possible because of the vast amount of players who use computers (often ridiculously obviously) to assist them. And when I see the 90% win rate in a newly made account, every move played after 5 seconds, the game gets boring because I know there is no hope!
And they just make a new account when they are reported. Kudos to the chess dot com staff to ban them so quickly but that doesn't fix the problem.
But I like the idea much better to keep their account open - and make a special pool where they only play against other players who use computer assistance! The games could also get quite amusing and educational! Problem solved!
