I understand that it is just a decent sacrifice, so no, I don't feel like I won the lottery.

It was not even the best move. That was Rxb7.

But it is good to learn how to spot decent sacrifices. The real question is what you saw happening next, before you played the move 25 Rxd3. If you saw that taking the bishop on d3 would cost you the rook on b2, that would be a questionable move. If you saw the follow up check by your rook on d8, that would provide a possible justification. If you saw all the way to winning the rook on h8, that's very good.

If you saw all the way to forced mate in 9 after 26 .. Ke7, that's pretty close to brilliant.

If you saw none of the follow-up, then that wasn't very brilliant, was it?

I liked 29 Qg8+,especially if you saw you were winning the queen on a2.

OHH, Thank you for making it clear and also thank you for the Qg8+ move. You must be professional

For some, it feels like winning a lottery, but most of the time, "it's so obvious, why do I get that?"

This "Brilliant" move stuff is nothing but an ego feed that prevents you from looking at what you did wrong and what you need to work on.

Indeed. If I had a dollar for every time I've seen someone post a brilliant move in a chess game where their very next move was a miss, I'd probably be able to get one year of diamond.

I wish brilliant move could be divided into 1. Brilliant Tactical Move (BTM) and 2. Brilliant Positional Move (BPM).
