Is Karjakin the new Kramnik??

I thought of this earlier today. Karjakin has played very solidly lately, drawing all ten games in Shamkir, and losing only one game to Aronian at Norway. He also beat Kramnik in an instructive endgame performance, with technical grace that usually comes from... Kramnik. Additionally, he's Russian and his name starts with K! :)

So what do you think?

Why can't he be the new Karpov?

Because Karpov is no longer a top player, while Kramnik appears to be fading ever so slightly.
