Is it normal that I'm a fast learner and yet I increase at the pace of a snail?
Because I may have too much math in my head.

Yes, definitely 1200-2880 is considered to be the elite level of chess.
They don't call it the 1200 hump for nothing.
Yup thanks for showing me that opening Urk.
I have been using it exclusively as black against e4.
Guys I just beat a 1222 rated player with black.
Nice dude! And in classical 10 minute time controls as well. I am impressed.
It's the Caro-Kann dude, scrap the french defence, join the Kann Krew!
I won't say it impressive because it don't take much time to come up from 700 to 1000 but I can bet it will take you a year to climb up 1300 from your position. Keep practicing.
Hi Vladimir,
Recently I've been having trouble with my opening repetoire. After 1.e4 e5 2.Bc4 (trying to play for a trap) nc6! 3.Qf3? nd5! 4. Bxf7 (Qxf7? Kxd8! and white is in zugswang) Ke7! I seem to have a hard time continuing the position for white. Black will capture my f7 bishop at the right timing, and once the position opens up he has the bishop pair. Any advice?
Thanks,
EternalPatzer
Hmmmm,
I observe that your rating is much higher than mine. Therefore I am inclined to think that you don't require my assistance at all. However, bravo on the well thought out mockery.
Hi Vladimir! Recently I've been tasked with composing some classical music, hence my name. Would you recommend I eat a big Mac with fries or jump off a cliff? Thanks!
Ah how grand!
And who has commissioned you to act as their composer? May I also ask how the work will be used? Perhaps in a film or in a concert setting?
Yes, definitely 1200-2880 is considered to be the elite level of chess.
