Update: I just beat a 1300+ player.
Incredible. I don't think it's been done before. Magnus called and ask about you and if he should be worried.

Hi Vladimir,
Recently I've been having trouble with my opening repetoire. After 1.e4 e5 2.Bc4 (trying to play for a trap) nc6! 3.Qf3? nd5! 4. Bxf7 (Qxf7? Kxd8! and white is in zugswang) Ke7! I seem to have a hard time continuing the position for white. Black will capture my f7 bishop at the right timing, and once the position opens up he has the bishop pair. Any advice?
Thanks,
EternalPatzer
Hmmmm,
I observe that your rating is much higher than mine. Therefore I am inclined to think that you don't require my assistance at all. However, bravo on the well thought out mockery.
No no no, you are mistaken. Ask any serious player and they will tell you that numbers only tell half the story. My online rating might be higher than yours, but that doesn't mean I'm better than you or know more about the game. Contrary, your extraordinary rating spike proves your worth, and I am genuinely interested in your views on such a complicated line that I am unable to decipher.
Thanks,
EternalPatzer
But your rating is quite impressive, so I also think it is a little bit strange that you ask him about a certain line. Or do I miss something here? I would also be surprise if Roger Federer would ask me how to improve his backhand.

An incredible performance sure, but to say this would make Magnus worrisome is a bit hyperbolic.

I hope this is a joke, because your comment is laughable.
Um, no. Here's some perspective: Below 2300, K=40. Above 2400, K=10.
That means effectively that going from 2500 to 2793 is the equivalent of going from 782 to 1970. But it's not that simple. A 2500 GM, even a supertalented one like Magnus Carlsen, will have been playing chess for roughly seven years already, and although they have the benefit of added neuroplasticity, seven years is a number some studies indicate is the cutoff for significant chess improvement. In effect, in order to get to the 2800 level, a player has to "become a master" three times: once from 800-2200, once from 2200-2500 and once from 2500-2800. When you consider that only 1% of us achieve even the first benchmark, it's clear how difficult it is at the top.
Blitz rating pool probably got a very positive update .I predict +200 from two years ago.
